Rabbi Moshe Kurtz

Assistant Rabbi

Rabbi Moshe Kurtz serves as the Assistant Rabbi of Congregation Agudath Sholom. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Yeshiva College, where he received the Steven Gladstein Memorial Award for Service to the Jewish People, and an M.S. from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration. During his time at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), Rabbi Kurtz studied under and learned one-on-one with Rabbi Dr. Moshe D. Tendler, a preeminent authority in Jewish medical ethics.

From 2018-2020, Rabbi Kurtz served as the Rabbinic Intern for the Young Israel of Plainview on Long Island. In the Summer of 2019, he worked as the Rabbi for Aryeh Adventures Up North, a travel program for teenagers with special needs and their mainstream peers. Rabbi Kurtz is also an alumnus of fellowships organized by the UJA-Federation of New York, 92nd Street Y, and AIPAC.

Rabbi Kurtz is married to Marisa Pollack-Kurtz, who is a practicing Speech Language Pathologist. Together, they enjoy listening to Classic Rock music, watching Parks and Recreation and, of course, teaching Torah.

Rabbi Kurtz's audio recordings can be found on YUTorah, and his writing can be found in publications such as the Lehrhaus and Torah Musings.
